ok, so maybe dad's hair wasnt as big as i though it was....but still... also of note are mutti's glasses, mary ann's perm, kathleen's grown out 80's bangs, barb's 'mulletesqe' haircut, and my ridiculous expression.

I'm fairly certain this is the same summer as the truck/mountain/rescue summer. That picture might be in StL in the binder I did for Daddy 2 Christmas' ago... I know I've seen it at some point, I'm just not sure where, and given all the activity at home, it's probably no longer in the same spot.
I'm goona have to get my hands on that binder... This kind of material is priceless.

But I like this picture for it's cuteness factor. Your family does really well on these group shots that really convey the interpersonal dynamics. I can think of 2-3 family shots that do this particularly well.
I laughed outloud when I read your comments about that picture. The only normal looking people are sam and joe, and that represents some sort of cosmic injustice in my view.
Joe is so adorable there!
