gorilla's choice
so i finally got a picture of my dodgeball team, gorilla's choice. 10 superbonuspoints to whoever can name the reference (hint: it's from a simpsons episode). each of us had a kitchy fun nickname printed on the back of our shirt:
back row: brett "the warrior", suzanne "welshieee!", ricky "slick mcfavorite", matt "spinderella"
front row: josh "mr. farhenheit", kelly "riot grrrl", ashley "pinkey", ashley "fatty mcilliterate", gabe...well i cant remember what his nickname was, although his hair made him look like captain planet, and brian "frog of war".
as you can see, we're quite a ragtag bunch.

I think that picture is sooooooo cool. It even makes me wish I had played dodgeball a bit myself. . .
I'm confused though: are there two ashleys, or did ashley get two nicknames, or was one of them really for someone else? If there were two ashleys it was very smart to give them each an alias so that you could call out "hey fatty mcilliterate" and the right one would turn around for a catch.
I love it! How did you get your nickname Suz?
there were 2 ashleys- we actually distinguished them as ashley alpha and ashley beta, untill beta complained about her secondary status. she wanted a cooler greek letter, like omega or rho.
as for the nickname, i shall explain in a later blog. (that's right.....writhe in anticipation!)
Thanks for clearing up that whole ashley thing.
So, what is gorilla's choice in reference to? I'm surpirsed Matthew doesn't know, or hasn't commented. He remembers all kinds of minutia like that.
Is is like "Lion's choice"?
