sometimes life provides its own jokes

while i was in jackson for the 4th, we took an excursion to cape girardeau to eat at huddle house (kind of a step up from waffle house, but a step below dennys). they had all kinds of promotional pamphlets up at the front, and one in particular caught my eye...

i personally couldn't imagine anything more thrilling.

When Matthew and I moved to Germany we drove across 3/4 of the US to deliver our car to his mother, who had graciously agreed to buy it. On the way we had a major breakdown about 80 miles past Denver.
For the next three days we were stranded in this tiny town, and in the hotel where we were staying there was a "visitor's guide" outlining all the cool stuff about the town.
The following items were on the list:
6 movie screens in a 50 mile radius
4 baseball diamonds
1 library
1 museum of westward expansion (the entirety of which fit inside an old train car, and was closed for the summer).

I hate small towns.

Woopie, doesn't that just sound like a blast... the man isn't even dead yet and they already have a driving tour...

I should tell Bob... maybe he'll wanna stop on their way East this fall...
