take that, spammers!

so after 3 months of zero spam, i was blindsided by it yesterday. i noticed there were 9 comments to my last post and thought, 'hmmm, that's unusual...'. upon further investigation i saw that 2/3 of the comments were junk. you'll notice that now you'll have to use a word verification in order to post (thanks for the tip, matthew), which i find as unnecessary as i do repulsive.

i'm kind of mad that technocrap has infultrated my blog.

Might I offer you a nice, soothing, low interest rate on your home mortgage? No? How about some low cost V1@gra?

I hate spam. I get sooooo much becuase I have had the same hotmail address for about a decade. That alone makes me think that I deserve some kind of prize. Gold medal for most loyal use of hotmail.

Anyway, I remember the day when I realized *duh* that the purpose of commercials on TV was so that I would buy something. I don't know why I had to realize this--shouldn't it have been obvious? No, I guess I thought they were "public service announcements" or that they were there to privide a convienient pause so that I could refill my drink . . .

There's no confusing spam though. Its clearly only after its own interests.
