sometimes i think conservitives have too much time on their hands. not to worry, i think the same goes for liberals too- somehow i got on this greenpeace-esque mailing list, and i got an email asking me to sign a petition to ban the production of kleenex (kills the rainforest). i'd much rather be passionate about something truely cause-worthy...

If you want a good cause go talk to the local hotels and see what they are doing with the left over food from banquets.
Truly horrifying.
They throw it all away no matter that they could be donating it to a local soup kitchen- or all the soda pop cans that the chuck- not even trying to recycle. All the newspapers that they throw away each and everyday (one for each room at least).
unfortunatly there are atrocities being committed around every corner...we throw away so much paper at the doctor's office i work at- i've been thinking of setting up a recycling box just to clear my conscience.
but kleenexes? no way. hankeys are unsanitary, so sorry rainforest..you'll have to take one for the health-conscious team.
Consumption can, and does sicken me at times. However, I'm with Suz. You have to draw the line somewhere. Sure, my kids diapers are filling up the land-fills, and I'd vote to keep it that way any day of the week. That doesn't make it environmentally sound though.
