what every girl wants to wake up to...

this morning i was rushing out the door, already a few minutes late, when i noticed that my front tire was flat- and i dont mean low, i mean to-the-ground flat. knowing full well that i couldnt drive on it, i ran inside and pounded on parley's door until he woke up- he was able to drive me to work. it just threw off my entire day. i had to get one of the doctors' pagers fixed, but had to send one of the receptionists to do it. i couldnt leave for lunch, so i had to eat the weird cafeteria food at the hospital. and at the end of the day, i walked home (although this i didnt mind because i've resolved to exercise more). when i got home, i put on my spare doughnut all by myself (2 boys asked if i needed help, but i declined...'cause i'm awesome...). i'll see if i can leave work a little early tomorrow so i can get a real tire put on.

really, if one more thing goes wrong with this car, i may have to scream.

Before you shell out the cash for a new tire, you should show the tire people the old one. They might be able to repair it. Also, talk to someone who knows (mom and dad?) what kind of tire you need. There is a whole range of price/quality out there, and let's face it. If you could be walking instead of driving you don't need a fabulous tire.

The Germans are fond of saying that if you have x you have problems with x--car=car trouble, yard=yardwork, computer=computer problems. Fact of life, Suz. Sorry it messed up your day, but that's how it goes I'm afraid.

And what about Parley's day? He's the one who had to save the day . . . payback?

parley took my old tire to walmart to get it fixed- they said that it was beyond repair since it was cracked in several places and the tread was very low. he came and got my car because tires are replaced in pairs, and....well, all of my tires are really old anyway so it was something that needed to be done. so i replaced the front two tires with the second cheapest tire they had (they only had one of the very cheapest, so we decided to upgrade). i'm already considering getting the back two replaced since i'd hate to have a major blowout on the highway. walmart gave me a good deal, they'll fix any flat for free and i think they'll rotate them for free from now on. w00t.
